This mouse is crazy.

Corsair is known to develop equipment mostly for pc gamers and streamers. Their catalogue of products range from high-flow pc cases, comfy chairs, high-spec pc parts and peripherals like mouses and keyboards. We use several products of them daily and are quite fond of their design and performance, such as the Corsair K57 RGB Wireless Keyboard and the Corsair Dark Core Pro mouse.

In their newest peripheral line-up, we’re beginning to see the synergy Corsair can produce with their sister companies such as Elgato. The Elgato company produces another well-known product known as the StreamDeck, a high quality keypad with multiple lcd animated hotkeys for various uses.

And now there is this new mouse, the Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE that combines the performance of the Corsair mouses with the functionality of the StreamDeck in your thumbs reach.

We’ve seen mouses with more than regular quick buttons, mostly used for some additional quick hotkeys in MMO player styles, but the Corsair Scimitar Elite immediatly enables you to set it up for the StreamDecks functionality in their dashboard, granting non-players and mostly streamers a huge benefit.

Setup one of the 16 customizable buttons via the StreamDeck software to have a thumb ready hotkey. For example, set it up to start recording your stream while you’re already Live, clip a good part of your stream, divert chat into a safety mode, play something from your soundboard, initiate a raffle in your chat or simply switch to a different scene in your OBS. It’ll keep your hands on the steering wheel while driving your stream.

Other specs of this product include an adjustable Key Slider to position the hotkeys in the right position for your thumb, it can be either wireless or plugged in, snipers can rely on the Marksman S 33K sensor using a whopping 26.000dpi and it has well over 100 hours of battery before it needs a 90 minute refill.

When it comes to optimization of your workflow as a stream or as a gamer, this mouse is in our opinion a must have.

After several years in dorment, we’re back in business. To kick things off we’ve made quite some plans to see what we’ll exactly be doing and what we’ll be needing to achieve that. For starters, a fresh new office.

A lot has changed over the years when it comes to home office. Especially the covid period brought change to how we look at our working spaces, both at home or in the office itself. They have to be flexible, efficient and pleasing for both physical as mental health.

The fresh new office we’ll be using is set at a residential home, it actually was a kitchen room several years ago and isn’t abnormally large. Workspace is intended for two people max at the same time.

The main wall is cladded with sound dampening panels with wood layers by WoodUpp. In front of that we placed two broad desks, both having the option to be raised, so you can choose to work either sitting down or standing up. The main desk has an ergonomic chair with backseat, while our other seat has a simple but comfortable leather bar seat on wheels. Why?

If you have a job that requires you to sit down a lot behind the desk you’re often taking on the same positions. They might seem comfy for you during the working hours, but not moving enough and maintaining the same postures has a serious negative effect on your body. Once the body builds up these negative effects it can even spread to longer-lasting physical injuries, but even more occuring mental health problems.

Both the option to work sitting or standing, but also to switch between a chair with or without backsupport enables you to switch in body positions. How to remind yourself of that is a different subject…

The main desk is fitted with a super ultra wide monitor and another 4K monitor stacked on top. They are hooked up to a pc we’ve built and take a look at in a different post. The same counts for all the systems we hooked up to it to enable a more efficient workflow, including control over the office itself, via the Elgato Stream Deck.

The second desk is fitted with a docking station for laptops and has a television mounted on the wall. The television can be used as a second working screen for the laptop or to stream something you’d need at the time, such as a newsfeed or tutorial video.

That’s the main work space of the new office from which we’ll be working on these new posts and products by Monde Creative Studios.
